Bishop Zubik celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving for the faithful at Saint Paul Cathedral Thursday evening.
In his homily, Bishop Zubik encouraged us to be excited about our faith, even in the midst of fear. He urges us to live a faith that is truly alive.
At the end of the Mass, Bishop Mark Eckman announced the Bishop David A. Zubik: Church Alive! Scholarship, intended to help students in diocesan Catholic high schools who are excited about their faith to display it in exemplary ways. He presented Bishop Zubik with a commemorative announcement of the scholarship.
The scholarship is a tribute to how Bishop Zubik’s faith-filled witness, servant leadership, and deep love for Catholic education has touched countless lives. As a teacher, administrator and shepherd, he has helped to light the way for generations, igniting hearts with the joy of the Gospel and inspiring all with the belief that “Nothing is Impossible with God.”
The scholarship is established and founded through the generous gifts of clergy and the faithful.
