Bishop Mark A. Eckman, Bishop of Pittsburgh, is making the announcement of the following clergy appointments:
PART-TIME HIGH SCHOOL CHAPLAIN
Reverend Daniel J. Roberts to part-time chaplain at North Catholic High School, effective September 4, 2025. Father Roberts maintains his responsibilities as Parochial Vicar of Saint Aidan Parish.
RELEASED FROM ASSIGNMENT
Reverend Joseph G. Luisi is relieved of his assignment as institutional Chaplain to Jefferson Hospital effective August 20, 2025. At the same time Father Luisi will maintain his assignment as Institutional Chaplain to the nursing homes located in the territory of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish.
RETIREMENT
Reverend David H. Taylor has been granted permission to resign from his current assignment as Senior Parochial Vicar at Saint Mary Magdalene Parish effective September 1, 2025. At the same time Father Taylor has been granted permission to begin retirement and has made arrangements for a private residence during retirement.

Mr. Timothy J. Bittner, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, was declared to have lost the clerical state by decree of the Dicastery for the Clergy issued on January 25, 2024.
Mr. John E. Dinello, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, was dismissed from the clerical state by judicial sentence of the Tribunal of the Diocese of Pittsburgh issued on July 3, 2025.
Mr. Robert F. Pleczkowski, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, was dismissed from the clerical state by judicial sentence of the Tribunal of the Diocese of Pittsburgh issued on May 19, 2025.
Mr. Richard R. Seiler, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, was dismissed from the clerical state by judicial sentence of the Tribunal of the Diocese of Pittsburgh issued on May 15, 2025.
Mr. Michael T. Selep, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, was dismissed from the clerical state by judicial sentence of the Tribunal of the Diocese of Pittsburgh issued on May 19, 2025.
