Archangel Gabriel Catholic School is accepting applications for a highly qualified, part-time music teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This hourly position reports three school days per week during the school year and to meetings, events, or training as directed by the principal.
Primary Responsibilities:
Incorporate Catholic faith and values into daily lessons and activities.
Plan and teach developmentally appropriate music instruction based on a strong understanding of child development, music history, musicianship, and music performance.
Create a safe, joyful, and structured environment that encourages positive behavior and active engagement.
Use effective, age-appropriate teaching methods aligned with diocesan and regional standards to meet the needs of all learners.
Assess student progress regularly using both formal and informal tools to guide instruction.
Build strong partnerships with parents through open communication, collaboration, and shared development.
Plan and execute the Christmas and Spring concert programs.
Plan and prepare Liturgical Music for School Mass and other religious scheduled religious services, and direct the school’s Music Ministry Team.
Demonstrate professionalism by working collaboratively with colleagues, participating in school initiatives, and engaging in ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Music, or Related Field
Valid PA State Teacher Certification
Strong Understanding of Classroom Management and Best Practices
Ability to Work Cohesively as a Member of a Teacher Based Team
Love of Children, Music, Teaching, and Learning
Prior Successful Experience Working with Early Learners (preferred) ● Practicing Catholic in Good Standing (preferred)
