Applications are now being accepted for the position of Ministry Platform Migration and Management Specialist in the Office for Information Technology of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is a full-time, exempt position located at the Diocese of Pittsburgh Pastoral Center (2900 Noblestown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205). The Ministry Platform Migration and Management Specialist position provides leadership in the migration of Parish Data System (PDS) to Ministry Platform (MP) across multiple parishes and also will serve as the ongoing expert in managing and optimizing the platform’s use. This position will evolve through two primary phases: the migration phase and the post-migration management phase. The position will also be responsible for coaching parishes, ensuring data integrity, advocating for best practices, and training users to maximize the platform’s impact.
Qualifications for the Ministry Platform Migration and Management Specialist position include:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Business Administration, Religious Studies) or equivalent experience.
Certification or training in Ministry Platform or similar platforms is a plus.
Proven experience in data migration projects.
Strong background in training and coaching diverse groups, ideally in a religious or nonprofit setting.
Experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
Understanding of the Roman Catholic Church.
Knowledge of the mission of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Passion for supporting the mission of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and its parishes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate parish staff and volunteers.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical and operational challenges during migration and post-migration phases.
Proficiency in Ministry Platform or similar church management systems is highly desirable.
Ability to develop and deliver effective training materials and sessions.
Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage evolving responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Collaborative with a commitment to fostering long-term relationships with parish communities.
Ability to protect confidential information.
