Release from Diocese
The ReverendFrederick W. Gruber is released from priestly service in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Father Gruber will take up priestly ministry in the Diocese of Salina, in Kansas.
Special Assignment The Reverend Christopher D. Donley from Pastor, Divine Mercy Parish, City Center and part-time Chaplain, Point Park University and Central Catholic High School to serve on the faculty of the Pontifical North American College as a Formation Advisor to assist with Apostolic Formation. Father Donley will reside at the Pontifical North American College, Rome, Italy.
Pastors The Reverend Michael A. Caridi from Pastor, Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, Castle Shannon/Mount Lebanon to Pastor, Christ Our Savior Parish, North Side for a term of six (6) years.
The ReverendDavid J. Egan from Parochial Vicar, Saint Aidan Parish, Wexford to Pastor, Saint Aidan Parish, Wexford for a term of six (6) years, effective Thursday, May 1, 2025. The Reverend Joseph S. Uzar, Jr. from Parochial Vicar, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Observatory Hill/Perrysville/Ross/West View to Pastor, Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, Castle Shannon/Mount Lebanon, for a term of six (6) years.
The Reverend Nicholas S. Vaskov from Pastor, Christ Our Savior Parish, North Side to Pastor, Divine Mercy Parish, City Center for a term of six (6) years. Father Vaskov will remain as Director and Team Ministry Moderator of the Shrines of Pittsburgh.

Chaplain (Part-Time)
The Reverend Nicholas J. Argentieri is assigned as Chaplain (part-time) to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. At the same time, Father Argentieri will remain as Institutional Chaplain to the patients and staff of the Children’s Hospital of UPMC with continued residence at Saint Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, Bloomfield/Garfield/ Lawrenceville.
Leave of Absence At his request, the Reverend William D. Wuenschel is relieved of his responsibilities as Pastor, Saint Aidan Parish, Wexford, effective Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Father Wuenschel was granted a six-month leave of absence for health reasons on January 31, 2025. Father Wuenschel will be receiving a new assignment following his leave of absence.

William Albert McCrea, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, has been dismissed from the clerical state by decree of the Dicastery for the Clergy, effective December 18, 2024.
Scott P. Mages, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, has been dismissed from the clerical state by decree of the Dicastery for the Clergy, effective March 28, 2025.
Matthew Stokan, formerly a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, has been dismissed from the clerical state by decree of the Dicastery for the Clergy, effective March 28, 2025.
