HEAD VARSITY VOLLEYBALL COACH Central Catholic High School Essential Responsibilities:
Normally reports to the Athletic Director.
Ensure that all coaches and volunteers have all PA and Diocesan clearances updated before they begin their duties.
Manage and supervise the entire volleyball program and promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect and good sportsmanship
In conjunction with the Athletic Director can assemble and supervise a qualified coaching staff.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the rules and game of Volleyball and to be able to coordinate the development and promotion of the volleyball program.
Must have excellent communication skills with administration, parents and student /athletes - Must have a flexible schedule during the spring season.
Work with other members of the school staff, administration and teachers to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational, social and spiritual development of the whole person.
Hold a preseason meeting with the student athletes and parents prior to the season.
Develop a regular season practice schedule and organize practice time to provide both individual and team development.
Monitor and enforce student discipline during all practices and games.
Has extremely organized and interpersonal skills necessary to run the entire volleyball program
Has the ability to instruct, evaluate and motivate our student/athletes
Can assist the Athletic Director with scheduling and logistics
To help organize the transportation of student athletes to practices and meets. - Will work with Campus Minister to help organize team service projects - Must ensure supervision of student athletes on and off the court.
