HEAD VARSITY LACROSSE COACH Essential Responsibilities: - Ensure that all coaches and volunteers have all PA and Diocesan clearances before they begin their duties Manage and supervise the entire lacrosse program (Junior Varsity and Varsity) and promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect and good sportsmanship. - Candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills. - Coordinate the development and promotion of the lacrosse program. - Work with other members of school staff, administration and teachers to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational, social and spiritual development of the whole person. - In conjunction with the Athletic Director, to have the ability to assemble and supervise a qualified coaching staff. - Ensure all lacrosse coaches work together toward a common goal within the lacrosse program. - Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide both individual and team development. - Hold a mandatory preseason meeting with all student-athletes and parents. - Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation. - Apply and enforce student discipline during all practices and games. - Maintain and secure all lacrosse equipment and uniforms. - Will work with the campus minister to help organize team service projects. - - Must have the ability to effectively teach, evaluate and motivate our student athletes. - Must ensure supervision of student athletes on the field, in practice, in the locker rooms, on team buses and in all meeting rooms. - Reports directly to the Athletic Director.
