Full-Time Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Madonna Catholic School, Monongahela PA

Position Summary: 
Madonna Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and faith-filled Full-Time Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting the development of young learners in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that promotes the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of children ages 3–5.
Key Responsibilities: 

• Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with diocesan and early childhood education standards.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values.
• Integrate faith-based instruction into daily routines and activities.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Provide a balance of structured and play-based learning experiences.
• Monitor and assess student progress using observation, portfolios, and assessment tools.
• Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians through conferences, newsletters, and daily updates.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration as part of a cohesive educational team.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessments, and incident reports.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and faculty meetings.
• Uphold and model the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (required).
• State certification/licensure for teaching early childhood or elementary education (required).
• Compliant with the Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment Policy.
• Prior experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten children (preferred).
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development.
• Commitment to fostering a faith-filled, respectful, and joyful classroom culture.
