Job Title: Elementary School Teacher (Grades K–6) Location: Saint Wendelin Catholic School, Northern Butler County, PA Reports To: Principal Position Overview: Saint Wendelin Catholic School, a vibrant faith-based learning community in northern Butler County, is seeking a qualified and mission-driven Elementary School Teacher to lead instruction in core academic subjects with an added emphasis on mathematics. The ideal candidate will possess a mid-level math degree (bachelor’s or higher) and bring a passion for helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally within a nurturing Catholic environment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality instruction in core subjects, including Religion, English Language Arts, and Mathematics
Integrate advanced math knowledge into daily lessons to enhance student understanding and problem-solving.
Design and differentiate lessons to meet the varying academic needs of learners, especially in mathematics.
Promote Catholic values and model Christian behavior in and outside the classroom.
Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success.
Participate actively in school-wide events, professional development, and faith-based activities.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania state teaching certification (or eligibility for certification).
Practicing Catholic preferred; commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education required.
Classroom teaching experience preferred, especially with differentiated math instruction.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Additional Desirable Skills:
Experience integrating Catholic teachings into daily instruction.
Ability to support or lead extracurricular math activities (e.g., math competitions, clubs).
Familiarity with technology tools that support blended or personalized learning.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 10-month academic year position, beginning Fall 2025.
