What Does Love Look Like?

What does love look like?
 
It is the One Who rode into Jerusalem
mounted on a donkey amidst a crowd
praising Him and welcoming Him that
would later reject Him and accuse Him.
 
It is the One Who at the Passover
Supper taking bread and giving it to
His chosen band said, “Take this and eat it,
for this is My Body” and giving the chalice to
them said, “Take this and drink of it, for this is
the chalice of My Blood.”
 
What does love look like?
 
It is the One Who prayed to the Father in
the Garden of Gethsemane, submitting to
His Will.
 
It is the One Who was spat upon, crowned with
thorns, bruised with a reed, and mocked.
 
What does love look like?
 
It is the One Who, aided by a passerby, carried His Cross up the hill
of Calvary taking upon Himself all our sins.
 
It is the One Who as Great High Priest and
Victim laid down His Body on the Altar of the
Cross to offer Himself for our salvation.
 
What does love look like?
 
It is the One Who, in His terrible agony, gives
the precious gift of His own Mother to us
from the Cross.
 
It is the One Who, commending His soul to the Father
And dying, forgives us all.
 
What does love look like?
 
It is the One Who is the King of Kings and is buried in another
man’s tomb because His kingdom is not of this world.
 
It is the One Who is raised from the dead on the third day
and lives forever.
 
Who is this Love?
 
It is Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
