Madonna Catholic School is seeking a Middle School ELA, Elementary Spanish, and 4–8 Art Teacher serves as a multifaceted educator who provides high-quality instruction across multiple subject areas while fostering a learning environment rooted in Catholic values. This teacher will inspire students academically, creatively, and spiritually by integrating faith-based principles with engaging, standards-aligned lessons. The ideal candidate is flexible, student-centered, and committed to supporting the holistic development of each child.
Middle School English Language Arts Responsibilities
Teach reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary aligned to middle school ELA standards.
Incorporate diverse and meaningful texts to promote literacy and cultural understanding.
Develop students’ writing proficiency through instruction in narrative, expository, argumentative, and research writing.
Facilitate discussions, presentations, and collaborative work that build communication skills and critical thinking.
Elementary Spanish Responsibilities
Provide foundational Spanish instruction to elementary students using immersive and developmentally appropriate methods.
Teach basic vocabulary, phrases, pronunciation, and cultural traditions from Spanish-speaking countries.
Use songs, stories, movement, games, and visuals to enhance language acquisition.
Encourage students to practice conversational Spanish in supportive, interactive settings.
Grades 4–8 Art Responsibilities
Deliver a comprehensive visual arts curriculum for grades 4–8.
Promote creativity, problem-solving, and appreciation for the arts through hands-on learning.
Organize student art displays, exhibits, and participation in school events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Education or related field.
Valid state teaching certification in appropriate subject areas
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Ability to teach multiple subjects and adapt to diverse learner needs.
Experience with art mediums and techniques appropriate for grades 4–8.
