Catechetical Administrators Gather for Spring Communities of Practice

On Wednesday, May 14, catechetical leaders from around the diocese gathered at the Pastoral Center for Spring Communities of Practice. A quarterly event, Communities of Practice give parish formation leaders an opportunity to come together, work through challenges and share ideas with one another. At each event, there is some experience of prayer, invitation to loving action, cultivation of community, exploration of the Gospel, and opportunity to learn something new. At the Spring Communities of Practice session, leaders heard from Dottie Marek, LCSW (pictured right), who spoke on doing trauma-informed ministry with compassion and effectiveness.
