Business Teacher Position 2026-2027 School Year
 Oakland Catholic High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join its Business Department as a high school Business teacher. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and innovative professional who is committed to the academic, personal, and spiritual formation of young women in a Catholic, all-girls educational environment. Candidates should demonstrate a love for teaching, a commitment to life-long learning, and a desire to collaborate closely with colleagues to support student success and advance the mission of Oakland Catholic High School.  Status: Part-time, 10-month per year, exempt position. Federation of Pittsburgh Diocesan Teachers Tenure Track 
 
Primary Responsibilities: 

• Embrace and exemplify Oakland Catholic’s mission to educate young women to grow in Spirituality, Scholarship, and Service. 
• Teach a part-time schedule of business courses, which may include Accounting, Personal Finance, and/or Entrepreneurship.
• Actively participate in curriculum development and ongoing review within the Business Department.      
• Engage fully in faculty formation programs and contribute to a culture of ongoing professional growth. 
• Pursue professional development opportunities to remain current in content knowledge and instructional practices.           
• Support the broader school community by participating in co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities centered on student growth.  
• Demonstrate a collaborative spirit by assisting with departmental initiatives or school-wide projects as needed, at the discretion of the Principal and/or President, while maintaining full adherence to the Federation of Pittsburgh Diocesan Teachers’ contract with the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

 
 Salary Range 
 Commensurate with education and experience and based on the Federation of Pittsburgh Diocesan Teachers' contract.
  
  
 Position Requirements: 
 

• Possession of, or the ability to obtain, all current clearances and background checks required by the Diocese of Pittsburgh.  
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.  
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Business Education or a related certification is preferred.  
• Prior teaching experience at the secondary level is strongly preferred.  
• Demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.  
• Proficiency in Google platforms is required.  
• While you do not need to be Catholic, it is preferred or needs to have a willingness to agree to embrace the values of Catholic teaching.
