“I’m just learning how to sleep through the night again,” Deacon Tim Killmeyer said quietly.
For decades, nights meant listening for the slightest change in her breathing, waking to suction her airway, dozing with one ear open. The “muscle memory” of caregiving takes time to unwind.

Host and Audio Technician - Written Summary
We Are One Body® Radio is looking for an individual who feels called and is excited about participating in the We Are One Body® Radio mission. WAOB® is looking forward to hiring a new team member that will fill a dual role of on-air host and audio technician. As an on-air host, you would be responsible for providing two-minute hosting slots at the beginning of each hour, as well as offering program details and commentary over program themes and music. Having a deep understanding and love of God and the Church, as well as a willingness to listen to the Holy Spirit, are invaluable assets to being an effective host on WAOB®. WAOB® produces its own programming, and this is where your skills as an audio technician will be needed. As an audio technician, you will be responsible for becoming an expert with the audio equipment necessary to do your job. You will also be responsible for recording, editing and databasing the WAOB® Radio programming. In both roles, you will need to work very closely with your co-workers. A genuine love of others, attention to detail, and a desire to constantly grow in your skillset are all required to succeed in this job. You will be a member of a team of between five to seven members, who will coordinate their work schedules to cover the necessary hours – 7 days per week, between 5:30 am and 9:30 pm. In general, every team member will “share the load” in covering these shifts; including holidays. There will be dedicated time for spiritual formation, to pray together, to discuss and grow in the technical aspects of your job, to discuss ways to grow in your hosting, and to learn more about the music broadcast on WAOB®.

I love hosting. Really, I do. But if you ask my kids, they’ll tell you that in the days leading up to a gathering, I make everyone just a little bit nuts. I can’t help getting carried away with the prep— cleaning, cooking, decorating, and fussing over things that probably don’t matter as much as I think they do.
