In continued alignment with local and state public health and wellness guidelines and recommendations, the Diocese of Pittsburgh is preparing to allow Churches to reopen for private prayer, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, as well as continuing directives regarding small weddings and funeral Masses. 

To acknowledge the work of all teachers in the Diocese of Pittsburgh as part of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8, 2020), Bishop David Zubik shared a video blessing for teachers, saying, “May you feel the power of our prayers for you during this entire week.”

A Youth Minister at Saint Bonaventure Parish in Glenshaw, PA has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. The Youth Minister received the positive result on April 16, 2020, and in compliance with doctor recommendations and government health guidelines, is quarantined at home.
