Northside Catholic Assumption Academy (Brighton Heights, Pittsburgh, PA) will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday November 17, 2020, to allow necessary time for contact tracing after a person associated with the school tested positive for COVID-19.

Out of an abundance of caution and in collaboration with health and safety protocols from local, state, and federal health agencies, the pre-school programs at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Elementary School (Butler, PA) will close until after Thanksgiving break.

Out of an abundance of caution and in collaboration with health and safety protocols from local, state, and federal health agencies, one of the preschool classes at Archangel Gabriel Catholic School (McKees Rocks/Robinson will participate in virtual learning for the next 14 days, ending November 28, 2020.  

Central Catholic High school (Oakland, PA) will move to virtual learning for all students starting Monday, November 16, 2020.  Students will return to Central Catholic for in-person learning on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, unless otherwise noted.  

It is in an abundance of caution that Butler Catholic and St. Wendelin Elementary Schools (Butler, PA) will be moving to total remote learning beginning Monday, November 16, 2020. 

After receiving a report of a third person testing positive for COVID-19, Central Catholic High School (Oakland, PA) has made the decision to close tomorrow, Thursday, November 12, 2020. The cases appear to be independent of each other, and there is no evidence of internal spread of the virus.

In collaboration with health and safety protocols from local, state, and federal health agencies, Holy Spirit Academy including the preschool (New Castle, PA) will shift to virtual learning until after the Thanksgiving break. 

Out of an abundance of caution and in collaboration with health and safety protocols from local, state, and federal health agencies, the sixth grade at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Elementary School (Butler, PA) will participate in virtual learning for the next 14 days.

Out of an abundance of caution with guidance from health professionals who are encouraging vigilance and caution in the midst of an increase in positive COVID cases locally, as well as across the country, the Diocese of Pittsburgh will delay the start of the elementary school basketball season until January 2021. 

Following guidance from the Allegheny County Health Department, Seton La Salle High School (Mt. Lebanon) will have a virtual learning day tomorrow (Friday) and the school building will be closed for all activities at least through Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Pennsylvania Department of Health protocols, along with guidance from the Allegheny County Health Department, 19 people involved with the Sacred Heart Elementary School (Pittsburgh/Shadyside) volleyball team will participate in online learning for 14 days.

With an additional positive COVID-19 test reported on October 27, six people associated with St. Louise de Marillac Catholic School in Upper Saint Clair are now diagnosed with the virus. 

Following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Pennsylvania Department of Health protocols, along with recommendations from the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Health Department, all 27 people involved with the North Catholic Varsity Boys Soccer Team will quarantine for 14 days. Student athletes will continue classes online.

Following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Pennsylvania Department of Health protocols, and recommendations from the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Health Department, Serra Catholic High School football practices and games are suspended for 14 days.

A first-grade student at St. Bede School in Point Breeze has tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, all first graders will participate in virtual learning for the next 14 days.

Serra Catholic High School has moved all students to online learning due to being notified that two students tested positive for COVID-19.  The school building will remain closed through Monday, September 14, 2020. Additionally, out of an abundance of caution all sports program will be suspended through the weekend.
